Miles for Mozambique - Charity Run -

Every year, children in Mozambique are placed in orphanages by their parents with the hope that they will have better access to education.
Our goal is to keep families intact by empowering women with education, job skills, and income, giving them a voice in the community and the ability to provide for their children. Everything we do is motivated by our faith in Jesus.

Tutoring
It’s easy to enroll a child in school, it’s much harder to make sure they understand what is being taught, especially when you consider the public schools large classes and often times illiterate parents with an elementary school education.
Empowering women through education.
We provide the women classes in Portuguese, Bible, Finance, Health & Family, and Gardening.
Job Skills
The women are taught the basics of Sewing, Small Business Finance and Gardening to see which skill sets come naturally. Based on skills, women are all given an area of focus to study further and opportunities to earn money and start small businesses to generate revenue after they have left our program.
